  • International Doctor of Ministry Colloquium Held in Seoul

    Olivet University held its first overseas Doctor of Ministry Colloquium in Seoul, Korea. International students from around the world gathered for its annual week-long event that included special plenary sessions on dissertation writing, and individual student presentations.

  • Students Gain In-Depth Training at MacWorld 2011

    Olivet University students from the IT and Design colleges attended this year's Macworld Expo in pursuit of the latest applications, products, and technology. Participating in the event's various workshops, students had a number of sessions to choose from. Industry professionals led the way in demonstrating new software and tools for Actionscipt programming, motion sensor, photography, film editing, and the updated Mac iOS.

    Jubilee College of Music Masters students performed at a worship concert in downtown San Francisco’s Sherman Clay & Co. Concert Hall.

  • Olivet Offers Video Production Experience for Journalism Students

    The Olivet College of Journalism (OCJ) prepares for its workshop series on video broadcasting and editing. The workshops serve as a supplementary resource to OCJ’s existing media course which offers opportunities for students to utilize current social websites as a media outlet for content. The video workshop series includes a survey of the production pipeline along with hands on learning using editing software for both Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.

  • OIT and OCB Collaborate on E-Commerce

    Olivet Institute of Technology (OIT) is collaborating with Olivet College of Business (OCB) to explore features in E-Commerce websites that can lead to online business developments. With an expanding field in online sales, Olivet business students are seeking assistance from IT students to work together in building online stores. The co-work enables them to put into practice the skills learned in both college classrooms.

  • Olivet Remembers Mrs. Edith Johnson Tinder (1943-2011)

    Olivet students, faculty, and staff paid respects to the late Mrs. Edith Tinder, wife of OTCS Dean Dr. Donald Tinder at the Sun Valley Bible Chapel in Lafayette, California on January 8th. Emails and letters came in from around the world, testifying to Mrs. Tinder’s life as a symbol of vitality and one of God’s beautiful creations.

  • Olivet, CARE, and Patten University Showcase Annual Arts Festival

    Olivet University welcomed students, faculty, and guests to its annual New Way Media & Arts Festival hosted by Dr. David James Randolph, Olivet Theological College & Seminary professor. The event featured artworks from Olivet College of Art & Design students, faculty, as well as guest artists ranging from digital art, websites, photography, paintings, and woodblock prints.

  • Faculty Shares Experience in Ministry Practice Lecture Series

    As a part of the lecture series for the Ministry Practice program, three of Olivet University’s Lausanne participants spoke to students about their recent experience at the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in Cape Town, South Africa.

  • JCM & BREATHE Academy San francisco Hosts Piano Recital

    The Jubilee College of Music (JCM) hosted its semester-end recital at the University’s chapel. This was JCM’s fifth piano recital and first joint concert with BREATHE Academy San Francisco, an affiliated ministry of Olivet University.

    Olivet University in collaboration with the Center for Arts, Religion and Education, an affiliate of the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) in Berkeley and Patten University is preparing for its annual arts festival that will bring together works from Christian artists, students, and faculty.
