All applicants to Olivet University should evidence strong Christian character, potential for effectiveness in Christian ministry, and the scholastic ability and emotional maturity to handle a higher education experience.
Olivet professors understand their academic work to be in the service of the church. Most faculty members have experienced ministry first-hand and all are currently engaged in the life of the church from the local to the national level.

State of California Institutional Approval

Olivet University operates and grants certificates and degrees with authorization from the State of California’s Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). Approval to operate means compliance with state standards as set forth in this chapter. For more information about BPPE visit www.bppe.ca.gov.

Olivet University dba The Jubilee School is authorized for operation as a postsecondary educational institution by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. Institutional Accreditation

Olivet University is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Ste. 130, Orlando, FL 32822, 407.207.0808) to grant certificates and degrees at the Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctoral levels.

The ABHE Commission on Accreditation’s recognition with the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) includes certificates, diplomas, associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees, including doctoral degrees. The Commission’s scope of recognition with the U.S. Department of Education does not include doctoral education.
