Olivet University warmly welcomed the new students arriving for Spring Quarter with a barbecue fellowship, providing an opportunity for students to connect, share their personal journeys, and build meaningful relationships within the university community.
Students, staff, and volunteers came together to prepare a variety of delicious meals, including burgers, hot dogs, and vegetarian options. Throughout the event, members of the chaplain team were available for one-on-one conversations, offering guidance, counseling, and support for students navigating both academic and personal challenges. Students were encouraged to visit the chaplaincy office whenever they needed help or simply wanted someone to talk to.
The fellowship extended well into the evening. As the group gathered around the fire, each individual shared their personal faith stories, offering a powerful witness to God's work in their lives. Despite coming from different corners of the world and speaking different languages, the love of Christ was a unifying force that connected everyone in the circle.
As the Spring Quarter progresses, more events, regular gatherings, and opportunities for students to connect—both personally and spiritually—are being planned.
