In a spirit-filled gathering, Olivet University (OU) students were warmly welcomed as they performed at the local Praise Night in Anza. Organized by Pastor Kevin Watson from Living Hope Christian Fellowship, the quarterly event brought together congregations from all local churches for an evening of praise, prayer, and community support.
Nine Olivet students were invited to lead a special segment of the night, performing powerful songs such as ‘Amazing Grace’ and ‘God So Loved’. Their performance was accompanied by words of grace and encouragement. Church members and locals gathered to show their support for the student performers as Pastor Watson prayed over them, expressing his heartfelt appreciation for OU's positive impact on the Anza community.
“We are blessed to have young performers. Olivet, you are loved by the Anza community,” he said.
In addition to the students' performance, four other churches contributed with an assortment of praise songs, followed by a collective moment where the entire gathering prayed for one another. The night was filled with the Holy Spirit, as the Olivet students reconnected with old friends and built new relationships with their neighbors, all while glorifying God through music.
The next Praise Night is scheduled for January 2025, with Olivet University students planning to participate once again in this cherished event.
