OCAD Students Attend Bert Monroy Workshop

May 27, 2009

Olivet College of Art & Design students were privileged to attend a workshop in May by Bert Monroy, an American artist best known for his work using graphics editing programs Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Monroy shared insights about the artistic use of Photoshop CS4, the latest major release of Adobe Photoshop. His special techniques for creating realistic images challenged and encouraged students to use Photoshop in ways they may not have considered before, such as the production of 3D artwork.

Bert Monrov is widely considered one of the pioneers of digital art and has been lauded for his photorealistic work. The workshop was hosted at the Adobe Systems downtown San Francisco office.
