Olivet University Granted Accreditation by ABHE

February 24, 2009

Olivet University has been granted accreditation by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).

The announcement was made by ABHE Accreditation Director Dr. Randall E. Bell on February 20, 2009 at the Association’s annual conference in Orlando, Florida.

“This is major step forward for the University and we thank God,” said University President Dr. David Randolph.  The recognition means Olivet University is an accredited Christian academic institution with the Association, and is positioned for future growth, he explained.

ABHE, which is approved by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized institutional accrediting agency, also is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Founded in 1947, ABHE is comprised of approximately 200 postsecondary institutions and over 35,000 students throughout North America specializing in biblical ministry formation and professional leadership education.
