JCM Provides Ear Training, Teaches Students the Knowledge of Music

February 24, 2009

JCM Bachelor's course, Musicianship & Theory, has previously focused on understanding music theory. But this semester, it will focus on practical ear training. This way, students can interact with music theory more easily and naturally by ear.

One JCM students shared, "for me, music theory was something as difficult as mathematics. But as I'm having intensive ear training in this course, I think I'll be able to learn a lot about how to recognize the harmony and rhythm by 'sound', not by a complicated calculating method.”

Jade Cho, the instructor of this course shared, "even students from other colleges are attending this class. I hope through this class music theory can become familiar to every student and be applied to their singing and playing instruments for praising God."
