Spring 2009 Convocation to Feature Dr. Bill Taylor

Olivet University's Spring 2009 Convocation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, in the University Chapel in downtown San Francisco, California. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. and will last approximately 1 hour.  The convocation will feature Dr. Bill Taylor, a world renowned missionary, who will give the convocation address. 

Born in Costa Rica of missionary parents, Dr. Taylor earned degrees from Moody Bible Institute and North Texas University, before graduating with a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Latin American studies from the University of Texas.  In 1986, he was appointed as the Executive Director of the Missions Commission of World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), and continues to serve the WEA in the present.  Dr. Taylor has taught as a professor in seminaries and missionary training schools in North America and internationally and has helped numerous mission organizations network together.
