The Olivet College of Art & Design (OCAD) Internship Program offers 15 weeks of study and work in fascinating, fast-paced, and sophisticated design ministry environments. Students participate in professional work life through pre-placed internships that complement their particular academic concentration and personal goals. Activities examine a particular academic area in the context of Christian faith, ministry and society, and its role in contemporary culture.
"I am really thankful to God to have worked in design ministry at this point in my school career," said veteran intern and OCAD graduate Hyejung Song. "I experienced and learned many things–not only for design skill, but for faith and life," she said.
"OCAD professional design partners provide interns with opportunities to develop their classroom-based design learning for industry-caliber work, all within a Christian environment," explained Ginturn Tran, OCAD program director. "Our program is designed to provide students practical experience for students for career readiness, and it works," he added.
The semester-long program requires interns to submit reports about their activities and progress each week, and cap their experiences with final presentations to their internship mentors and program directors.
