Olivet University's Staff and Students Join Oracle Openworld 2007

November 20, 2007

During November 11 through 15, Olivet's staff and students participated in the Oracle Openworld 2007 convention hosted in the Moscone Center located across the street from Olivet's main campus building.

Olivet University's prime location in the world's hub of technology research and development allows the University to profit and gain new perspectives for its own developments and vision for becoming a leading educational institution in the field of technologies and research.

This year's Oracle convention, the world's largest enterprise software company, attracted tens of thousands of people including Olivet's staff and students of OIT (Olivet Institute of Technology) and OCJ (Olivet College of Journalism).

Daniela Gheorghita, one of the student participating at this year's Oracle Convention, shared her reflection: "At the convention many improved products were presented and new releases were brought into public's attention.  IT professionals came from all over the world and I was able meet many young people at the keynotes and sessions. I was very encouraged and inspired by the new technologies."
