Fall 2007 Convocation and Library Dedication Service

Olivet University's Fall 2007 Convocation will be held on Monday, September 10, in the University Chapel in downtown San Francisco, California. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. when the academic procession marches into the sanctuary, and will last approximately 1½ hours. 

Dr. Ralph D. Winter, Honorary Chairman of Olivet University and founder of the United States Center for World Mission, will give the commencement address. Immediately following the convocation, Dr. Winter also will be honored at a special library dedication service and ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the renaming of the University library to the Ralph D. Winter Library. He was chosen for recognition in honor of lifetime service, leadership and achievement in missions and Christian education.

There will be a reception for guests for incoming students to celebrate with the school community, and their families and friends after the evening's events. 

Student, faculty and staff members participating in the convocation and dedication service are requested to arrive at the Olivet University main campus building at 3:00 p.m. to prepare for the ceremony.
