Olivet University representatives held a series of meetings with officials from the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) at the University's San Francisco campus August 16-20.
The WEA is a network of 420 million evangelical Christians, and the evangelical community's most recognized organization.
Geoff Tunnicliffe, Executive Director of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) and special consultant to the WEA Jonathan Lewis were greeted by University Chancellor David J. Jang, Dean of Olivet Theological College & Seminary William L. Wagner, along with selected staff members for discussions about building partnership and sharing educational resources with the WEA. The group spoke in depth about the role of Olivet technology tools in the development of a shared leadership training program.
Thursday's talks with Sergei Sannikov, incoming chair of the International Council for Evangelical Theological Education (ICETE) and Executive Director of the Euro-Asia Accrediting Association of Evangelical Schools (E-AAA), also explored partnership opportunities.
ICETE is an international network of theological schools supporting evangelical theological education in close connection with the WEA.
