Many Olivet Art and Design (OCAD) seniors will greet graduation prepared and confirmed for placement in fields directly related to their chosen area of study, thanks to the variety of practical learning opportunities Olivet offers through its family of ministry affiliates.
Sun Jin, who will graduate in June, has interned at San Francisco-based design firm Deographics since her sophomore year at OCAD. After graduating she will work full-time in their development division.
"My daily work with websites, media, and graphic design is a professional contribution to the field," said Jin. "At OCAD design became craft, rather than my hobby. And I look forward to applying my skills to serve God after graduation."
Many OCAD alumni careers began with an internship that developed later into a full-time position at or connected with a ministry related to Olivet University. OCAD administrators follow up with students regularly when their internships are over and continue to connect them with job opportunities that hone their skills in preparation for careers after graduation.
