Professor David James Randolph was installed as the President of Olivet University at an evening ceremony Thursday, July 20, at Olivet University Chapel in San Francisco, CA.
President Randolph was invested with the authority of the Office after taking an oath and receiving a commemorative plaque in his honor, presented by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Olivet University Rev. Andrew T. Lin. In his installation address that followed, Randolph described his vision for the University.
President Randolph received his M.Div. degree from Drew University and PhD. in Systematic Theology from Boston University. President Randolph began his tenure with Olivet as a professor in the College of Art & Design. He has committed to continuing his teaching pursuits with the College in his role as Olivet University President. His election to the presidency was announced July 4, 2006.
Rev. Lin along with Olivet Theological College & Seminary Professor Joseph Raymond Tallman was among those delivering greetings to an audience of Olivet faculty, staff, students and alumni.
The ceremony was made available by webcast to audience locations on six continents.
