Greetings from the President to the Class of 2009

Congratulations! You now belong to a community of where you will deepen in faith while exploring the frontiers of Christian thought with some of the world's most distinguished Christian leaders and scholars.

Brace yourself for the next four years. These will overflow with opportunities to explore a broad range of fields that are expanding the praxis of Christian mission in ways that were unimaginable ten years ago. I am confident that your time at Olivet will prepare you for the many thrills and challenges that await you as the future pioneers of this new era of mission and ministry.

You can be just as confident that your experience at Olivet University will be a time fore more than mere intellectual growth. From our Chapel to our online and campus classrooms, our community is one firmly built on faith. The quest to know God and to make Him known orients our entire approach to education – an approach that makes no distinction between learning about and living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I encourage all of our students, especially those who are planning to join our campus community this Fall, to prepare an ample amount of enthusiasm, curiosity, and determination as you make arrangements begin your first semester.

Your returning classmates, professors, administrators and I eagerly look forward to greeting you in September.
